..... Chinese art photography: Yan Fu .....

'Out of Control' is the title given by Yan Fu to his series of multiple exposures, in which he depicts his daily life in several layers. The camera is used like a sketchbook, actions taking place at various times combine with each other in a single image.

We travel through the photos like passers-by. The spontaneity, the non-intentional nature and the uncontrolled overlapping of the pictures convey a sense of great authenticity and intimacy. Like the passer-by who secretly seizes through the window scenes from the private life of the neighbouring family.

In this series, you see the common preparation of the dinner: dough is being kneaded, 'Jiaozi' (Chinese raviolis, a traditional dish for the Chinese New Year) are on their way while tea is enjoyed, a woman comes from the bathroom...

A dynamic family life unfolds, the photo becomes film.
